Coursera Q4 2025: 197M Learners, ~$197M Revenue, ~$27M in Losses
On Feb 5, 2026, Coursera released its Q4 2025 results. It was the first report since announcing the Udemy merger, which Dhawal Shah, Class Central founder, recently analyzed (in 5000+ words!). Coursera’s stock barely moved after the announcement and is currently at ~$6, down 87% from its opening day price in 2021. Here’s a quick review of its last 2025 quarter. More Users, Struggling Segments Coursera’s Q4 revenue was ~$197M, up 10% YoY, but growth has been flat since Q2. Consumer revenue saw

9 Best Quilting Courses for 2026: Turn Fabric Scraps Into Heirlooms

Coursera announced job cuts on July 6, eight weeks after its merger with Udemy closed. The company didn’t say how many people were affected. The only number it gave was a cost, $8 million to $11 million. After digging around California’s website, I found that 59 people were laid off: 31 from Coursera’s Mountain View headquarters, and 28 from Udemy’s office in San Francisco. California only requires these notices for jobs in the state, so that isn’t the whole number. Based on what the two compa

Duolingo Q1 2026: Toward 100M DAUs with Record Engagement and Slower Paid Growth
In Q4 2025, Duolingo announced it would let go of $50M in bookings to reach 100 million daily active users (DAUs) by 2028; a strategy Class Central covered in detail last month.  2026 is its “investment year,” and Q1 was the first quarter of execution. So far, the plan seems to be working. The Expected Results: Low Bookings, High DAUs Duolingo is running multiple tests to improve the free experience: spoken tokens for speaking practice, Speaking Adventures for real-world conversations, and fla
